After a year of planning, the community artwork will be installed March 23rd
At Sew Social, individuals of all ages and skill levels can come together to sew, laugh, chat, and try new things. We love what we do, and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
During our events, attendees are welcome to bring their own sewing machine and a project they're working on, or sort through our bin of "instant gratification sewing tutorials" for beginner-level projects. Scrap fabric, a couple of extra sewing machines, and treats/drinks are typically also onsite. Our primary location for Sew Social events is Derita Design, a beautiful makerspace that offers its own mix of classes and workshops!
Skills Lab focuses on a new targeted sewing skill each month. Giving you the opportunity to practice multiple approaches and feel supported.
This concert will be a celebration, a thank you, and a send off. This piece was made possible by the support of friends, family, and the Charlotte Arts community.
Get your sewing machine Out tha' Box! If you're the type to spend the day learning a new skill, this class is for you!
