Participants will use natural earth tone dyes to transform aprons inspired by the generations of Black cooks, bakers, gardeners and makers who made the kitchen a place of creativity, care, and entrepreneurship. Along the way, we’ll explore the stories held in everyday textiles and the role aprons have played in Black food traditions.
